Sermorelin is a form of a growth releasing factor (GRF) in the body. It is a form of GRF that contains only the first 29 of 44 amino acids that are produced by neurosecretory neurons in the brain. Nobel Laureates in the 1970s first described the structure of GRF in order to determine which part of the molecule was essential for its pituitary stimulating action. By eliminating individual amino acids and then testing the remaining peptide, they found that only the first 29 amino acids are responsible for stimulating pituitary production and secretion of Human Growth Hormone (HGH).
Sermorelin is NOT the same thing as human growth hormone (HGH). Rather, it is a growth hormone secretagogue, which means that it stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and secrete HGH. Sermorelin is a small peptide containing only 29 amino acids whereas HGH is a much larger molecule containing 191 amino acids.
BENEFITS OF SERMORELIN may include but are not limited to:
- Increases natural production of Growth Hormone
- Improves Physical Performance
- Improves Immune Function
- Increases IGF-1
- Improves Sleep Quality
Sermorelin therapy has great potential for adults who have growth hormone deficiency and seek to reverse the effects of aging or treat a medical disorder. A patient who is unsatisfied with the results obtained through Sermorelin therapy may then elect to be treated thereafter with human growth hormone (HGH) replacement therapy.
At Arizona Integrative Medical Center, P.C., Dr. Stallone tests and evaluates patients in order to supplement deficient individuals with the hormone better suited to his or her body. He establishes candidacy by past medical history, physical, various diagnostic scans, proper lab work and current overall health needs in order to better assist them in achieving optimal health.
